Tarifs d'électricité 2025 : baisse des prix de l'électricité pour les clients de Primeo Energie

Electricity tariffs 2025: Falling electricity prices for Primeo Energie customers

Münchenstein, 29 August 2024: From 1 January 2025, electricity prices for Primeo Energie customers in the basic supply will fall by an average of around 1 percent. Following the successful introduction of a variable price model for the feed-in of solar power, the company is extending the offer to include grid usage in order to give its customers the opportunity to further reduce their electricity costs.

The electricity price in the basic supply is made up of three elements: grid utilisation, energy prices and various levies to the federal government and municipalities. Electricity tariffs are therefore heavily dependent on price developments on the electricity markets and regulatory requirements. In the coming year, grid utilisation tariffs will fall slightly, mainly due to the reduction in the levy for the federal electricity reserve. In contrast, the costs for the distribution grid will increase due to higher investments in expansion and conversion in connection with the energy transition.

The energy share of the electricity price will fall in the single-digit percentage range. Following the electricity price peaks in 2022, prices on the electricity exchange have fallen, but the price level remains higher than before the start of the energy crisis. Like many other companies, Primeo Energie is pursuing a long-term procurement strategy and smoothing out the price effects for its customers by purchasing tranches over three years. The electricity price peaks in 2022 will therefore still have an impact on electricity prices in 2025, albeit to a much lesser extent than in previous years. In addition, the prices for balancing energy, which is required to stabilise the electricity grid, have increased significantly at Swissgrid.

Based on the points mentioned above, this results in an average reduction in electricity costs of 1 per cent compared to the previous year. For households in a five-room flat with an annual consumption of 4,500 kilowatt hours (kWh), costs will fall by CHF 10 or around 1 per cent next year. Commercial enterprises with an annual electricity requirement of 30,000 kWh can expect a reduction of CHF 50 (also around 1 per cent).

The electricity tariffs in the basic supply follow the provisions of electricity legislation and vary depending on the household and its product and consumption profile. Primeo Energie will inform its customers of the individual adjustments in writing over the next three months with the next invoice run. Optimise electricity consumption and save costs
The company is continuing its efforts to reduce electricity costs with new tariff models. Following the introduction of the optional tariff for the feed-in of electricity from photovoltaic systems in July 2023, the offer will also be extended to electricity procurement from January 2025. With the new ‘Primeo NetzAktiv’ optional tariff, Primeo Energie is offering attractive prices for households[1] that shift their electricity purchases to times when the electricity grid is under less strain. This protects the grid and your wallet in equal measure. Households can save up to 10 per cent of their grid usage costs (primeo-energie.ch/netzaktiv).
