Primeo Energie reduces redelivery tariffs for solar power and adjusts remuneration for guarantees of origin

Primeo Energie is reducing the return delivery tariff for electricity from photovoltaic systems or other renewable sources to 13 centimes per kilowatt hour as of 1 July 2024. The minimum remuneration introduced last year remains unchanged at 9 centimes per kWh. The remuneration for the guarantee of origin and the optional tariff have also been adjusted.

Minimum remuneration remains unchanged, energy legislation requirement leads to lower return tariffs
Primeo Energie continues to guarantee solar power producers a minimum remuneration of 9 centimes (Rp.) per kilowatt hour (kWh), thereby creating investment security. The minimum remuneration applies until the end of 2028 and for systems with an output of up to 150 kW together with the standard tariff.

The amount of the re-delivery remuneration for electricity from renewable production is based on the avoided procurement costs for equivalent energy in accordance with Article 12 of the Energy Ordinance. From 1 July 2024, anyone who feeds their electricity from photovoltaic systems (PVS) or other types of renewable production into the Primeo Energie grid will receive 13 centimes per kilowatt hour. Previously it was 16 centimes per kilowatt hour. Primeo Energie regularly reviews the redelivery tariffs and adjusts them both upwards and downwards in the event of changes. The background to the current adjustment of the redelivery fee is primarily the lower market prices for electricity. This has also reduced procurement costs.

Remuneration for guarantees of origin is being standardised
The remuneration for the guarantee of origin (HKN) will be standardised. In future, a single market price-orientated tariff of 2.5 cents/kWh will apply to the purchase of renewable guarantees of origin for all plant sizes. The tariff variants associated with the electricity product will be cancelled. As a result, the majority of producers in Primeo Energie's grid area will benefit from an increase in remuneration from the previous 1.5 cents/kWh to 2.5 cents/kWh. For customers who purchase "Primeo Grün", the tariff will fall by 2 centimes.

Optional tariff will also be adjusted
With the introduction of the optional tariff, Primeo Energie is responding to a wide range of customer requests for more optimisation options for production. Customers who actively manage their production or consumption can benefit from up to 30 per cent savings compared to the standard tariff and at the same time contribute to security of supply. The optional tariff is particularly suitable for customers with a PV system who increasingly use the production peaks around midday to cover their own consumption and/or whose PV system has a production focus in winter.

The optional tariff for electricity from photovoltaic systems with annual and time-of-day differentiation will also be adjusted in line with market price developments. Details on the optional tariff can be found on our homepage at primeo-energie.ch/verguetung-pva

Overall, with the new tariffs Primeo Energie continues to be one of the grid operators with favourable tariffs.
