Registration Plug & Play photovoltaic system (PVA)

Do you want to connect a plug-and-play PVA up to 600 W (AC) in the network area of Primeo Energie or Aare Versorgungs AG (AVAG)? Then please complete the registration form. Please note that due to the large number of requests, the processing time can take several weeks.

Connection requirements

The low-voltage installation standards (NIN), the low-voltage product directive (NEV) and the instructions of the Federal Electricity Inspectorate (ESTI) must be observed:

  • For each consumer line (meter current circuit/meter), plug-and-play PVA units with a maximum AC-side nominal power of 600 W in total may be plugged in.
  • The plug & play PVA must be ready to plug in, i.e. the PV module, inverter, residual current protection device or monitoring unit, grid connection cable and possibly battery form a single unit.
  • Connection voltage 1x230 V (single-phase)
  • Possibly ‘all-current sensitive residual current circuit breaker’ (FI Type B)
  • Swiss T12 or T23 plug
  • The declaration of conformity for the plug & play PVA must cover the entire set and the components that make up the set must be listed individually (see example).
  • The plug & play PVA must be installed or set up securely and in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
  • The plug & play PVA must be reported to Primeo Energie before it is put into operation.

To find out whether a plug & play photovoltaic installation is approved by the federal government, you can contact the Federal Office for Heavy Current Installations (ESTI), the responsible approval body, directly. Alternatively, the manufacturer of your installation will also be able to provide you with information. We reserve the right to carry out a chargeable spot check in accordance with NIV Art. 39. If the installation has defects, the costs are charged to the owner; if the system is free of defects, Primeo Energie bears the costs.
